Though Ozone has been used for nearly a century for disinfection, the adoption of Ozone technology for public space sanitization has always been a difficult challenge due to logistic and safety challenges. The Government spine institute along with OTSIL had to come up with a safe and efficient disinfection strategy to reduce Operation turnaround times
Case study
OTSIL conducted Full scale testing with Air-Ozonation with third party swab tests for proof of concept at Ozone residuals of 100-300 ppb and sterilization times varying from 30-45 minutes, followed by fully automated Ozone dosing and sensor based controllers to adhere to international safety norms. Ozone technology was effectively used to reduce down time by 50%
