1. Pulp & Paper Industry
Problem: A well-established pulp and paper company needed to comply with strict environmental regulations while improving pulp quality and reducing specific pulp production costs.
Solution: By successfully integrating our industrial ozone generators, the company achieved a Kappa index of 4.5 and a pulp brightness of 89% ISO. Effluent volume was reduced to about 8 m³ per bone dry ton in the Z-line and DP-line. With a replacement ratio of 1 kg of ozone for 1.8 to 2 kg of pure ClO₂, costs remained comparable, while the use of ozone ensured significant savings. Independent tests showed that, despite a slight decrease in viscosity, ozone technology enhanced overall mechanical properties, highlighting its performance and sustainability benefits.
2. Nuclear Fusion Research Project
Problem: The world’s largest nuclear fusion research and engineering project required an eco-friendly cooling water treatment system that could guarantee safety and deliver reliable performance across extreme temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +50 °C.
Our Solution: OTSIL supplied three containerised ozone generators for water treatment, complete with site-specific safety systems and ozone gas distribution lines. The solution ensured stable operation across a wider range of -25 °C to +50 °C, providing best-in-class reliability and safety.
