Problem: Ensuring compliance with strict environmental regulations while achieving better pulp quality and significantly lower specific pulp production costs for a well-established pulp and paper company
Solution: With a Kappa index of 4.5 after Z, the new pulp reaches easily 89% ISO brightness while the total effluent volume is around 8 m3/bdt in the (Ze)(DP) line. The replacement ratio is 1 kg of ozone for 1.8-2 kg of pure ClO2 whereas costs per kg are very close to each other: ozone definitely induced significant savings. The client conducted its own physical tests and it appears, even with a slight drop in viscosity, that all mechanical properties were improved by the use of ozone!
Problem: An international nuclear fusion research and engineering megaproject, and the world’s largest magnetic confinement plasma physics experiment faced the issue of ensuring that the new eco-friendly cooling water treatment offered best-in-class safety and works at temperature range of -20 degrees to +50 degrees.
Solution: Three containerized ozone generators with site and application specific safety equipment and Ozone gas distribution lines to ensure system performance remains stable between -25 and +50 degrees
